As per Counseling Directory, a UK based organization “Counseling” falls under the umbrella term ‘talking therapies’ and allows people to discuss their problems in a safe, confidential environment. The term can mean different things to different people, but in general it is a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth.

At our RAC Alumni website, Career counseling service is offered to current students graduating in near future and alumni regarding job and or higher study. There are no fees involved but registration at RAC Alumni website is a requirement. The counselors are qualified and experienced RAC Alumni who will keep all conversations confidential and will never discuss questions not pertinent to the issue.

Please note that “A counselor” is not there to sit you down and tell you what to do - instead they will guide you in fulfilling your aspirations. The counselor may create a plan of action to help you attain your goal if needed. Also, please avoid routine questions/clarifications. However, you will be provided specific guidance based upon your question or request.

The counselors will use ‘Online Counseling’ methods utilizing technology that protects your anonymity. However, the administrator has the right to see your questions, based on which they will forward the information to the right counselor. Please avoid providing any personal information while contacting or emailing us.

While the counselors may help you by providing with simple interview techniques for a job or direct you to the right information for admission to graduate or PhD program; they may not hand hold you at every step. The counsellor suggestion should not be treated as a guarantee of success. You must continue with your efforts for your job search or higher studies and you will never be discouraged.

Please keep in mind that the effort must come from the student or alumni seeking counseling.

Please go to ‘Contact Us’ at ARAC website and complete the information. In the subject line mention either “Job”, “ICAR Competitive Exam” or “Higher Study”. Select your counselor from the following table and email him/her. All email must be cc’d to admin@racalum.com so that the admin can keep record of all your correspondence.

Please DONOT attach any resume at this time but you can if asked during the communication with the counselor.
